Plugged

I decided to do the first oil change on the wife's white S2000 and I have been tinkering here and there trying to get things up to par maintenance wise. In doing so, this weekend I did the first oil change on the car since we have owned it, it has around 122,000 miles on it, I don't know what oil has been in it in the past or whatever the dealer used but I went with old faithful Castrol Syntec 10W-30, a Honda filter the larger one, and a new crush washer. While at the store I ordered some new OEM NGK spark plugs. It seemed like the car could have ran a little better and when I pulled the plugs, I saw the problem. I would speculate that these are the original plugs that came from the factory. I haven't seen anything like this in a while. In the picture with the new plug (same plugs as the old ones) on the left its gapped to spec at .044 and the old plugs had work that much of a difference. The plug from number 1 cylinder didn't have much of an electrode left. Nevertheless, it made a huge difference and the car drives a lot better now!

Doing work.

All the old ones.
